Although 2015 is winding down, the hype in The Ruby Room, is anything but dull. With a nearly booked up December, Laura and her team of stylists have no plans of slowing down this holiday season. While the ladies in black are as busy as ever, let’s take a look at this record-breaking year:
The Ruby Room rang in the New Year by earning AHIA Queensland Salon of the Year and Laura, owner and Creative Director, earned AHFA’s Queensland Hairdresser of the Year.
The award-winning team went on to present on the Main Stage at Sydney’s Hair Expo, with their Russian Romance theme.
Laura was nominated as a Goldwell Colour Zoom Finalist, and our Senior Stylist Bree was selected as a Goldwell Rising Star, a prestigious mentor program for up-and-coming stylists in the industry.
Director Stylist Anthea created the looks for an Oyster Magazine photo shoot, and our Manager and Creative Director styled hair for the finalists on the hit TV show, The Voice.
Bree joined Laura in London to attend Salon International after winning an in-salon competition. The duo crossed the pond for a weekend filled with hair inspo.
The Ruby Room turned five! When the salon opened, there were two stylists and a paper appointment book. Now, we are bursting at the seams with a staff of 15 and an overflowing waiting list. Thirty of our most loyal clients received a handwritten card and flowers on our birthday for being with us from the beginning.
Australia’s leading hair and fashion magazine, The Journal, interviewed Laura for its 5th issue of the year, which would make anyone feel like a celebrity!
It’s safe to say that 2016 has some big shoes to fill, but we have a feeling that won’t be a problem at all!
